Parent’s Day Out (PDO) is a Christian-based program that provides parents the opportunity to bring their children for care one or two days per week. While at PDO, children are involved in activities such as crafts, singing, circle time including a Bible story, gym time, and a blessing with snack and lunch.
PDO welcomes children ages 2-4 years old. We follow the District 41 school calendar. During the 2011-2012 school year, we’re welcoming children on Mondays, Tuesday, Wednesdays and Thursdays, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. We provide morning snacks, and ask parents to bring a lunch for your child.
Established in 2004, this program is an outgrowth of the First United Methodist Church mission to “Grow God’s Love”. The program nurtures families by caring for children in a Christian environment that is also dedicated to providing a safe and hospitable space for them.
Schedule: PDO is open Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. PDO operates September through May and follows the Glen Ellyn District 41 school calendar for scheduled days off. Parents enroll their child and may choose to participate on one or two days.
Enrollment Details: Enrollment begins just prior to the beginning of the school year. Note: Attendance is limited to children with completed application and health forms, including registration card, emergency phone numbers, authorized pick-up persons, health history and emergency treatment form. No child may attend until all of these papers are on file.
Fees: There is an annual registration fee of $50 for one child, and $75 for more than one. Tuition is $25 per day, per child. Tuition is paid monthly on the first attendance day of each month.
