Music is an integral part of worship at First United Methodist Church of Glen Ellyn, and we are blessed to have such rich musical talent to give voice to our faith. Both our Chancel Choir and our Praise Team, Oasis, participate in the 10:30am service during the fall, winter and spring season.
The Chancel Choir is our Adult Vocal Ensemble. Their repertoire spans all Western musical style periods and also includes world music, jazz, gospel, and popular music. The Chancel Choir rehearses every Thursday night from 7:30-9:00pm.
Our Oasis Worship Team is comprised of members of the Chancel Choir who are passionate in their desire to lead and present Praise Music. The goal of the Oasis Worship Team is to lead the congregation in singing Contemporary Christian Music. The Oasis band includes drums, piano, bass, and both acoustic and electric guitar. Oasis rehearses every Sunday at 9:00am before the worship service.

First Church of Glen Ellyn invites ‘Music Lovers’ of all ages to attend annual Concerts presented in the spring and fall. Instrumentalists, soloists and ensembles perform all venues of music from classic to jazz under the leadership of Marianne Kim, our Music Director.
